Day #105 – Nem rắn – Snake Spring Roll

Bits of snake meat cooked in rice paper with vegetables. Its a spring roll. This is one of those dishes that are decent but don’t really bring out or compliment the snake meat. Its a spring roll that tastes like the fried rice paper, and veggies inside, we will dip it in the lime, salt and chili dip to give it a sour and spicy taste.

Day #76 – Bánh cuốn – Coiled Cake

With these folds of cut noodles, you’ll dip them into a watered down fish sauce with floating pieces of sausage in it. The noodles were ok with an added cripness of the fried shallots. Dipped into the sauce it makes a nice, slightly chewy snack.

This particular and light pork broth is accompanied by bun noodles. quail eggs, shrimp and spring onions. A wonderful smell of pork and spices wafts up only succeeded by its taste.

A fusion between Chinese and Cambodian cuisines its got its own set of development in between having many different variations throughout Vietnam.
